Final Placements for the Class of 2018 at IIM Rohtak saw 100% recruitment with the highest salary offer of Rs 30 lakh, an increase of 16% over the previous year. The average salary was pegged at Rs 11.7 lakh.
The top 10% managed to get a salary of Rs 21.2 lakh followed by top 25% drawing Rs 17.4 lakh and top 50% getting Rs 14.6 lakh.
The number of companies visiting the campus went up by 75%, including three international recruiters including the Tolaram Group from Dubai. The placements also saw 40 plus new recruiters. The 90 plus recruiters made 139 offers to the students.
There was also a steep increase in the number of PPIs (pre-placement interviews) and PPOs (pre-placement offers), IIM Rohtak said in a statement.
Google, Amazon, GMR, L&T and Cognizant were among the other recruiters to turn up at the campus. IIM Rohtak was the first among the newer IIMs to complete its Final Placement.
“100% placement in the current economy demonstrates that IIM Rohtak students are amongst the best and most sought after in India. We will continue to work closely with industry to offer future business leaders to the country,” Prof Dheeraj Sharma, Director IIM Rohtak said.
In sector-wise placement, Marketing topped with 29% of the offers being made in this domain. Prominent companies included Yes Bank, Dabur, Amazon, BPCL, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Steel, JK Group, IndiaMart, Cushman and Wakefield.
Among the first time recruiters were Amul, Aditya Birla Group, Cargill Foods, Mafatlal, Dell, and ACG WorldWide. A 5-fold increase was noted in the number of FMCG companies.

Finance comes next with 26%. Major recruiters among the banks included ICICI, RBL, Yes Bank, HDFC, SBI, Standard Chartered, IDFC, Federal Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank.
Non-banking financial firms included Arcesium, Indus Valley Partners, Futures First, Thomson Reuters, DE Shaw, TresVista, Future Generali. In investment banking, Motilal Oswal came up with its coveted MT Spark Program.
Other major sectors included General Management (21%), Analytics (12%), Strategy and Consulting (7%) and Operations (5%). This season also saw the return of the Big Four with KPMG and EY offering attractive profiles to IIM Rohtak graduates.
