IIM Lucknow has achieved 100% summer placements for its 31st batch of 457 Post Graduate Program (PGP) students in a record time of 4 days.
The placement drive saw participation of 157 domestic and International companies that included several major firms in the marketing, finance and consulting sectors.
The most sought after roles were offered in sales & marketing, finance, consulting and business development. The rest of the offers came from domains such as operations/supply chain, general management, systems/IT, market research, analytics and HR.
Some of the top recruiters across different sectors were Accenture, Aditya Birla Group, Amazon, Auctus Advisors, Avendus, BCG, Deutsche Bank, Flipkart, Hindustan Unilever, M.H. Alshaya, McKinsey, P&G and TAS among others.
“Our first time recruiters include AskMe.com, CarDekho.com, Hay Group, Nomura IB and Uber among others. International profiles were offered by M.H. Alshaya, Deutsche Bank, Hindustan Unilever and Kellogg’s,” Placement Committee Chairman Dr. D.S. Sengar said in a statement.
IIM Lucknow had created history last year by placing the largest IIM batch in 4.5 days during Summer Placements. This year, it managed to reduce the time frame and achieved the fourth consecutive 100% placements, Prof. Sengar said.
The top segments based on roles offered were sales & marketing (25%), finance (22%), consulting (21%), e-Commerce (15%), systems/IT (10%) and general management (7%).
Rest of the offers came from domains such as market research, analytics, business development, social media marketing and HR among others.
As many as 35 companies hired for the first time from IIM Lucknow with over 60% in the Sales & Marketing, Finance and e-Commerce sector.

Some of the other sectors that were represented by these firms were consulting, systems/IT, general management, media and automotive. The roles were primarily in sales and marketing, finance and e-Commerce.
