At least seven business schools that accept NMAT by GMAC test scores for entry to management programs have announced scholarships for candidates with good scores.
The computer-based objective type multiple-choice exam, accepted by several management institutes in India and from this year onwards, some B-schools in South Africa and Philippines, is conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC).
The top 5 eligible applicants will be offered a scholarship of 20% tuition fee waiver. All applicants will have to appear for a Personal Interview round at BSE Institute.
While the registration for the test closes on October 3, 2018, the test window will remain open for 75 days from October 4 to December 17.
The schools offering scholarships are the Athena School of Management, BSE Institute Ltd, ITM Business School, ISBR Business School, Jindal Global Business School, SDA Boconni Asia Center and Thapar School of Management.
Athena School of Management offers the Athena NMAT Gold Scholarship that covers up to 50% of fees for one student who has an NMAT Score of more than 200. The Athena NMAT Silver Scholarship of up to 25% of fees will be four three students who score of more than 185.
The Athena NMAT Bronze Scholarship of up to 20% of fees for students with a score of more than 150.
Athena also offers Profile Scholarship for students with outstanding profiles and/or extracurricular achievements, Women in Management Scholarships, Rotaract/AIESEC/NCC Scholarship and International Student Scholarship.
BSE Institute offers five scholarships to students who score 180 and above in NMAT. They should also have an aggregate graduation score 60% and above. B.E, B.Tech, B.CA, BSC.IT graduates will be given preference for Masters in Financial Technology.
The top 5 eligible applicants will be offered a scholarship of 20% tuition fee waiver. All applicants will have to appear for a Personal Interview round at BSE Institute.
The ITM Business School offers 20% scholarship on the academic fee at ITM University, Raipur and ITM Vocational Vadodara for all the NMAT students who score more than 160 marks.
ITM also offers scholarships of up to 100% on the first-year fee for the students who appear in ITM Scholarship round. Those scoring well in NMAT are also eligible for the annual scholarships to the tune of 1 crore.
The ISBR Business School offers a variety of scholarships for meritorious and deserving candidates who wish to pursue their masters at ISBR.
Scholarships are offered in the form of tuition fee waivers and extending up to 100% full ride. The 15 merit/industry-sponsored scholarships are equally divided among the 100% full ride, 50% and 25% tuition fee waiver. The school also has a sports scholarship for 5 students who will get a 25% waiver on tuition fees.
Jindal Global Business School has exclusive scholarships for NMAT by GMAC candidates in three slabs. Those who score between 90-100 will get 40 % of tuition fee, between 80-89.99 will get 30% of tuition fee and those scoring between 70-79.99 will get 20% of the tuition fee.
SDA Bocconi Asia Center offers merit-based tuition waivers. Dean’s Award and Women in Leadership Scholarship are granted on merit basis. In addition, the school offers a Sports & Cultural Arts Scholarship.
Students with NMAT by GMAC high test scores, strong academics, strong Interview performance and overall good profile will be eligible for tuition waivers ranging from 30 to 80% on the tuition fees at the discretion of the scholarship committee.

The Thapar School of Management has Emerging Leader Scholarships under which 75 Merit scholarships are available.
For those applying through NMAT by GMAC scores, 50% tuition fee waiver is available for 10 candidates and 20% tuition fee waiver for another 10 candidates.
All applicants are eligible to appear for scholarship test. The test at Thapar School of Management and has no fee. The scholarship test will be organised on the day of the admission process.
