Admission is open for the 2019-21 batch of the 2-year post graduate Working Managers’ Programme (WMP) at IIM Lucknow.
The last date of submission of application is January 15, 2019. The program commences in the first week of April 2019.
WMP, aimed at working executives, entrepreneurs and professionals, who want to enhance their managerial knowledge and skills through formal management education while continuing to carry on working full time, is held at the NOIDA campus of IIM Lucknow.
On completion of the program, the students are awarded a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management.
Eligibility Criteria
You should have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or an equivalent academic pursuit (i.e., 10+2+3), with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
You should present the scores obtained in the GMAT score during January 16, 2014 – January 15, 2019, or CAT / XAT / GATE score for the test taken in the year 2017 onwards or the WMP Entrance Exam scheduled during last week of January 2019 at IIML Noida Campus.
A minimum of 3 years of full-time post-qualification (after graduation) is needed with managerial/ professional experience as on March 31, 2019. (Experience Certificate or Pay Slips would be required as proof).
Based on the scores in GMAT/ CAT/ XAT/ GATE/ WMP Entrance Exam, candidates are shortlisted for Writing Ability Test and Personal Interview. After the Writing Ability Test & Personal Interview final score is calculated on the basis of 30% for the test score, 30% academic and professional profile, 10% Writing Ability Test, 30% Personal Interview. The offer of admission is given based on the final score.
Admission Schedule
The WMP Entrance Exam will be held in the fourth week of January 2019. The announcement of the shortlisted candidates will be made on the fourth week of January 2019. Writing Ability Tests and Personal Interviews will be held in the first and second week of February 2019. The names of the candidates selected for the program will be in the third week of February.
The acceptance and submission of the first instalment of fees will be in the second Week of March.
How to Apply
The application form can be downloaded from the WMP website. The completed Application Form could either be submitted online or offline to reach by January 15.
The documents that need to be submitted along with the Application Form are a recent passport-sized photograph; a copy of the candidate’s GMAT/CAT/XAT/GATE scorecard (if you are applying through WMP Entrance Exam, you need not submit any scorecard); Copies of Secondary School Certificate (SSC), Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC), Bachelor’s Degree Mark Sheet/Transcript.
Experience certificates(s) from the candidate’s previous/current employer(s) (specific dates of joining and leaving the organization(s) need to be mentioned) OR Pay slips (First and Last) (Date of joining should be indicated); SC/ST/NC-OBC Certificate, if applicable; Certificate of disability, if applicable.
Fees & Other Expenses
The fee for WMP: 2019 – 21 is Rs 13,55,000 + refundable caution money of Rs 5,000 + Alumni membership fee of Rs 5,000 + Convocation fee Rs 5,000 + Taxes.
The fee includes tuition fee, computing and networking, library services, books, and instructional resources, boarding and lodging during campus visits, and visa, travel, accommodation and academic expenses for the international module.
WMP has students from various industry domains. Executive students’ education background ranges from IIT, NIT, PEC, BITS, DCE, MDU. Students have a work experience of around 4 years to 19 years in field of IT, Banking, Consultancy, Manufacturing, Sales & Marketing, Project management, employed in global companies like Amazon, Adobe, Barclays, Deutsche Bank, HDFC, HCL, IBM, Maruti, Nokia, Honeywell, L&T, Infosys, Reliance, TCS, Tata, Mahindra, Oracle to name a few.
While the program has a general management focus, you have a choice of elective courses to enable a deeper understanding of various academic areas.

A two-week international module at one of the partner business schools in Europe/East Asia is part of the program. The International Module is designed to enhance the cross-cultural experience and broaden understanding of global management challenges. It comprises academic courses, workshops, industry visits and interactions with industry leaders. WMP 2017-2019 batch went to ESCP Europe –Paris and Madrid Campus in August 2018.
Students get an opportunity to work on live projects under the guidance of expert faculty and the best part of the programme is that students can apply their learnings during the sessions in their working profession and gain practical experiences before they get into the shoes of omnipotent managers and Industry leaders.
The Case Study methodology followed by the program would give you a flavour of the real-time experiences even before stepping into the shoes of a manager.
