Those looking for specialising in International Business need to look no further than the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), the only business school among the top ten in India to offer an MBA in International Business.
The two-year full time residential programme is IIFT’s flagship course at its campuses in New Delhi and Kolkata. It offers specialisation in Marketing, Finance, Operations and Trade.
The Institute has set in motion the admission procedure for the academic year 2017-19, issuing a notification on July 15. The last date for registration will be September 5.
An entrance test would be held on November 27, 2016 at Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhubeneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Delhi, Guwahati, Hydrabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur and Visakhapatnam.
The final selection process comprises a written test followed by group discussion, essay writing and personal interview.
As far as qualifications are concerned, graduates in any discipline from a recognised University is eligible to apply and no specific age limit has been set. Final year students are also eligible to apply.
The multiple choice question (MCQ)-based exam would be a paper and pencil test. It has various sections dealing with English Comprehension, General Knowledge and Awareness, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Analysis.
The application fee for IIFT entrance exam for all students (except SC/ST/PH and NRI candidates) is Rs.1550. The application fee for SC/ST/PH candidates is Rs.775. The registration fee for NRIs is US $80.
Foreign nationals/NRIs/children of NRIs can apply for admission on the basis of their GMAT score till February, 15, 2017. The applications are accepted online at the official website – edu.iift.ac.in as well as offline. Once the required details are entered, a printout of the application from could be taken.
The self-attested application form, along with the candidate’s photo is to be sent to to the IIFT at its New Delhi address along with necessary enclosures.
IIFT, set up in 1963 by Ministry of Commerce and Industry, is an autonomous public business school.
