Final Placements 2016 at IIM Kashipur recorded the highest international placement offer of Rs.53.75 lakh while the highest domestic salary went up to Rs. 21.79 lakhs, a rise of more than Rs.5 lakh over the previous year.
The Institute, set up in 2010-11, boasts of a scenic campus at Kashipur in southern Uttarakhand, with the Himalayan foothills in the background.
In the Interim Final Placement Report released on May 26, 2016, the Institute stated that a total number of 101 offers were made to the 99 graduates, including seven Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) and one Pre-Placement Interview offers.
The average CTC was Rs 12.02 lakh. The average CTC of the top 30% stood at Rs 19.07 lakh and the average CTC of the top 50% at Rs 15.84 lakh.
The Placements proved to be successful with across the board rise in salaries. In 2015, the highest international package was Rs.43.31 lakh that went up by more than Rs 10 lakh to Rs 53.75 lakh. Similarly, the average CTC also went up from the previous year’s Rs.10.81 lakh.
While 26% of the batch opted to join BFSI sector, 24% chose Manufacturing/Energy/Engineering. In the third spot was Consulting & analytics at 13%.
Among prominent recruiters were are Vodafone, PwC, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Wipro, Berger Paints, MAQ Software, Mindtree, Yes Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC Ltd. HDFC Life, Jindal Steel and Power, Maruti Suzuki, TCS, TVS Group, Hewlett Packard, TATA Steel, Thomson Reuters, Maersk Line, Mphasis, Nurturing Green Retail Pvt. Ltd., Mother Dairy, GSK Pharmaceuticals, Hansa Cequity, Hero MotoCorp, HPCL, Larsen & Toubro, Ericsson, Uber Technologies Inc.
