The Indian Institute of Management Kashipur has registered 100% placements for the PGP 2017-19 batch with the highest compensation at Rs 28 lakh per annum and an average salary of Rs 12.24 LPA.
A total of 72 companies participated in the process offering 215 positions to 196 students who opted for placement through the institute.
Students were placed across sectors such as BFSI, FMCG, Healthcare, Advertising, Technology, Manufacturing, Operations, E-Commerce and Retail, the IIM said in a press release.
Placement Highlights
- The 37 first time recruiters including prominent organizations like Aditya Birla Capital, Coffee Day Beverages, JSPL, OfBusiness, Godrej & Boyce and 4TiGO.
- BFSI sector continued to be the dominant player in recruitment.
- A large number of offers came from Consulting & Analytics

Consulting & Analytics
Prominent among the recruiters were Deloitte, KPMG, E&Y, MAQ Software, Futures First and eClerx.Major brands like Godrej and Boyce, RECL, Aditya Birla Capital, Reliance Jio, Coffee Day Beverages, MAQ Software, JSPL, Tata Motors, OfBusiness, OYO, BYJU’s, etc., also participated in the recruitment process offering students roles across multiple domains.

IIM Kashipur, the first IIM outside metro cities
Established in 2011, IIM Kashipur is the first IIM outside the metropolitan cities. In a short span of eight years, it has emerged as a leading management institute.

The IIM is placed at the 20th position among management institutions under the National Institutional Ranking Framework 2018 by Ministry of Human Resource Development. It also featured among the top 20 entrepreneurial Business School in a list compiled by Entrepreneur India.
IIM Kashipur handles different projects such as global practices in continuing legal education, MGNREGA etc. It has also established a Design and Innovation Centre with assistance from the HRD Ministry. An agribusiness incubator has been set up by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare.
IIM Kashipur has introduced Online Certificate Programs in association with Talentedge, Safexpress, Safe Educate and Nulearn.
The IIM has international linkage with ALBA, Greece; Aalborg, Denmark; AIT, Bangkok; ESDES Lyon Business School, France and FPT School of Business, Vietnam. It recently inked MOUs with Coller School of Management, Tel Aviv, ICPE, Slovenia, Woosong University, South Korea and the University of Salford, Manchester.
