The Executive Post Graduate Program (EPGP) at IIM Kozhikode aims to provide working professionals and executives with an opportunity to enhance their skills and strategies without having to take a career break using the latest innovations.
IIM-K announced a tie-up with the Stanford University on September 3, 2018, for the EPGP program that enables students to attend the Ivy League institution’s Masterclass Webinar Series in Design Thinking & Innovation.
Under the collaboration, participants will attend live lectures from Stanford faculty through five webinars, spread over the course of one year. They will also receive individual certificates of participation from Stanford University.
IIM-K offers executive education in the form of a 2-year post graduate diploma program in management and a 1-year post-graduate certification program in Operations, Marketing, Finance, Strategy, IT and Human Resources.
Design Thinking & Innovation will introduce participants to the nature of innovation and creativity, and how to use the design thinking process to promote and scale innovation within their organizations. Participants will learn how to support innovative ideas and practices, design teams to foster innovative projects, identify pockets of innovation and excellence, and create processes which reveal innovative solutions to organizational or customer issues.
Ever since the inception of the Executive Management Education Programme (EMEP) in 2001, IIMK has been taking several pioneering steps to provide the latest in management education using synchronous interactive learning mode (IL) in the Asia Pacific region. Participants have the flexibility to choose the classroom centres based on their city of residence/work.
IIMK Director Prof Debashis Chatterjee has described the institution’s contribution in the field of Executive Education as very significant. It has been consistently updating the curriculum to provide the best to the participants.
Partnering with Stanford is another such step. It will enable the working professionals from various fields gain competency and leadership skills to fast-track their career growth in their organizations.
The Dean (Extension Programs) Prof. C Raju explained that the strategic alliance with Stanford University would go a long way in exposing the participants to the latest in design thinking techniques. This is only a beginning of such international collaborations.

Having started with 300 contact hours in 2001-02, the EPGP, at present, has 738 contact hours. Conducted in association with Times Professional Learning Ltd., the program is accredited by the AMBA (Association of MBAs) since 2011.
