The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow has released the admission policy for the various Post Graduate Programs for the Academic Year 2017-19.
The short listing and final selection of PGP (Post Graduate Program), PGP-ABM (Agribusiness Management) and PGP-SM (Sustainable Management) candidates for Batch 2017-2019 will be done in two stages.
In Stage 1, candidates will be shortlisted for Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) on the basis of CAT 2016 score, previous academic performance, and other criteria. For PGP-SM, minimum work experience of 24 months is an additional eligibility criteria.
Please see table 1 for minimum sectional and total cut-off percentile for short-listing the candidates for WAT- PI.
While the CAT cut-off under different categories remains the same as that of last year, the component score weightage has become more than double.
The composite score of CAT for short-listing for further selection stage was 38 last year. It has now gone up to 60. Similarly, the composite scores of class XII, graduation, work- experience, and diversity factors for PGP have also increased.
Only the candidates securing the above mentioned minimum percentile in each category in CAT 2016 will be considered for calculation of their composite score in Stage 1b on the basis of several factors as described below
Stage 2: Criteria for Final Selection of candidates for PGP/PGP-ABM/PGP-SM program
A candidate’s final score for selection in the program for the batch 2017–19 will be calculated on the basis of the assigned weights as given in Table 3.
The minimum requirement for getting a pass in Personal Interviews is 12 out of 40 marks. Names of candidates who do not pass in PI will not be included in the final merit list.
