IIM Visakhapatnam saw 100% placement for the PGP 2016-18 batch with an average salary of Rs 12.07 lakh per annum (LPA) and a median salary of Rs 11.70 LPA.
The placement process was held on a rolling basis at the campus and the Institute witnessed 42 companies participating in the process and multiple offers being rolled out.
The total number of students eligible for placement was 45. They received 50 offers, including 8 PPO/PPIs.
IIM-V said due to the outstanding efforts of students in the summer internship and corporate competitions, 18% of them received PPO/PPIs.
One of the big four consulting firms, KPMG recruited students for their Government Advisory and Strategy & Operations Consulting practice.
The average salary for the top quartile offers was Rs 16.29 LPA and Rs 14.14 LPA for the top half.
Sales & Marketing offered roles to 44.4% of the students followed by Consulting (11.1%) and General Management (8.9%).
Key roles were offered in Finance, Analytics and Strategy (6.7% each). Product Management, FinTech and Operations claimed 4.4% each and Human Resources 2.3%.
Reputed companies from the BFSI sector such as ICICI Lombard, HDFC Bank participated in the process and offered roles in Product Management, Analytics, Sales & Marketing domains.
One of the big four consulting firms, KPMG recruited students for their Government Advisory and Strategy & Operations Consulting practice.
FMCG company Amul recruited students in the domain of Sales & Marketing. Infrastructure giant GMR extended offers for its Management Trainee program in Operations domain. One student bagged an off-campus offer from Deloitte Consulting.
Engineering and Electronics multinational Bosch, IT/ITES companies including Sutherland Global Services, TechAspect, Click Labs offered roles in General Management, Business Development, Strategy and Digital Marketing domains.
Analytics and Decision sciences firms like MuSigma, Perceptive Analytics made attractive domain-specific roles. Reaffirming its faith in the Institution, Andhra Pradesh government recruited students once again for their Vision Management Unit.

Three students were selected for Andhra government’s prestigious fellowship programs. The season also witnessed participation from various companies of other growing sectors including education, luxury goods & e-commerce.
