The candidates will have to register for the exam at nmat.org.in. Since last year, two features were introduced for the convenience of the candidates in the form of multiple login methods and additional payment options. The multiple logins allow candidates to register through Google, Facebook etc. They will be able to use the auto-generated One Time Password (OTP) and even the previous year’s credentials for the purpose. Candidates could also register for the exam using their mobile phones.
Meanwhile, GMAC’s South Asia Regional Director Gaurav Srivastava said the past three years had seen significant growth in the test registrations. The surge in registration numbers Year-over-Year is a testament that the exam has been a symbol of quality, enabling test takers to access graduate management education and build a career of choice, while providing schools access to top quality talent, he added.
Srivastava pointed out that from this year, with the exam going international, schools in some the emerging markets will gain access to one of the most diverse test-taking pool with a high proportion of women and non-engineers.
GMAC Product Management Director Vikram Shah said an All India free mock exam will be held sometime in Sep 2018 to reduce the candidate anxiety and build their confidence.
The exam comprises three sections – Language Skills, Quantitative Skills and Logical Reasoning. All the sections are individually timed with a total time of 120 minutes. Candidates will be able to appear for the exam at 58 test centres in 44 cities in India and 4 cities abroad.
