NYU Stern Class of 2019 Has 36% Majors in Business

The Class of 2019 at NYU Stern has 36% students with Undergraduate Majors in Business followed by Economics 18%, Engineering, Math and Science 17%.Humanities, Arts and others form 16% and Social Science 13% complete the picture.

Out of a total number of 3927 applicants, 822 were admitted. The admission rate was 21%. The enrolled students stand at 399.

The average GMAT score is 714 and median 720. The 80% range is 650-760 and 100% range 580-780. Students with only GMAT score comprise 84%, students with only GRE score 12% and students with both GMAT and GRE score 1%. JD/MBA and MD/MBA dual degree students with LSAT/MCAT score form 3%.

The class has 38% female representation. International students (foreign national, dual citizen and U.S. permanent resident) constitute 37%. Minorities (U.S. citizens and permanent residents who identify as African American/Black, Asian, Hawaiian Native/Pacific Islander, Hispanic or Native American/Alaska native) make up 29%, Underrepresented Minorities 11% (U.S. citizens and permanent residents who identify as African American/Black, Hispanic or Native American/Alaska Native) and US military veterans/active duty 7%.

The students represent 35 countries. The average age is 28 in the range of 21-38. As far as GPA statistics are concerned, the average is 3.48 and median 3.49. The 80% range is 3.12-3.81 and 100% range 2.76-4.00.
