XAT 2019 (Xavier Aptitude Test), an all India level examination for admission to post graduate management programs in XLRI (Xavier Labour Relations Institute) and 150 other institutions, will be held on January 6, 2019.
The Registration window for the computerised online test will open on August 20 and close on November 30, XLRI, which conducts the test on behalf of the Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI) said in a press release.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must be a graduate to be eligible to apply for XAT 2019. However, candidates appearing in the Final Year of graduation or awaiting its result can also apply provided they are able to furnish their final year result by June 10, 2019
The candidates will be able to switch between sections and have access to the entire question paper like a written test. However, they will not be allowed to use an on-screen calculator. While the overall pattern remains the same as last year, XLRI has dispensed with the essay.
How to Apply
Registration for XAT 2019 is the preliminary step towards applying to XLRI and XAT Associate Institutes. Applicants applying to XAT Associate Institutes, besides XLRI have to apply separately according to their choice. They can choose to pay online using a credit card/debit card / online banking. The Registration Fee is Rs 1700 and Rs 2000 (with late fee). Those interested in XLRI programs need to pay an additional fee of Rs 300 each (Rs 500 with late fee).
Once you complete filling the Basic Information a system generated XAT ID and password will be communicated to you through Email / SMS. For all future communication, you will have to quote your email (provided during the registration) and XAT ID.
Please ensure that you provide a valid email address and mobile number. Your personal email address should be your primary email address in the application.
The Test
You will be able to download the admit card from www.xatonline.in from December 20 onwards. The exam comprises three sections, namely, Verbal and Logical Ability (VA & LR), Decision Making (DM), Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation (QA & DI) and General Knowledge (GK).
The duration of the test will be of three hours from 10:00 am to 01:00 pm. Results will be available on the website by last week of January 2019.

In case of any technical glitch in the computer of some candidates, they will be shifted to another terminal without any loss of time.
The exam will be conducted across India in Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Berhampur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Goa, Greater Noida, Gurgaon, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Jammu, Jamshedpur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nasik, Noida, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Rourkela, Sambalpur, Surat, Tiruchirapalli, Thiruvananthapuram, Udaipur, Vadodara, Varanasi, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam.
